PowerSchool completes Hobsons deal, partners with EAB

Folsom-based education software developer PowerSchool has closed its $320 million acquisition of two career counseling and recruitment platforms from Hobsons, and it has struck an exclusive partnership with EAB to offer even more services to high schools and colleges.

In February, PowerSchool said it would buy Naviance and Intersect from Cincinnati-based Hobsons.

The platforms make career and counseling decisions simpler and easier for students, school counselors and parents, PowerSchool CEO Hardeep Gulati told the Business Journal.
